A Saturday afternoon at Ward's Island Beach, post-work patio beers on Queen Street West, mouth-watering tempeh burgers at P&L, and attending the Paris Saint Germain vs. Benfica game at BMO Field were a few forgotten summer memories through my film camera. There's nothing like developing a roll of film you've forgotten about.
Summer in the City
And just like that, summer is over. Personally, I am beyond excited for cooler temperatures and many guilt-free evenings spent on the couch. Below are a few things I got up to over the summer:
The Toronto Mac & Cheese Festival in Liberty Village. I got to experience udon-inspired macaroni and cheese, mac and cheese ice cream, and mac and cheese sushi - a deep fried roll of mac and cheese encrusted with spicy Doritos and topped with a dollop of ketchup and drizzle of Sriracha. Too good.
Admiring the summer flowers in my parents' garden.
Brunch at Cluny, a Parisian-inspired bistro in the heart of the Distillery District.
A late August wedding at the Palais Royale, overlooking Lake Ontario. A big congratulations to the newlyweds Jason and Caroline!
Saying so-long to summer (and welcome home to a good friend) at Sugar Beach during the Labour Day weekend.
