My dear colleague and friend Parisa is getting married! I helped photograph her bridal shower a few weekends ago and it was a absolutely beautiful. Together, we designed her wedding invitations, and I love how she's carried the theme of the graphics throughout the decorations, even incorporating her signature floral into the stunning cake designed by Pickering-based bakery Fairy's Cake and Cupcakes. A beautiful bridal shower for a beautiful bride.
In the Studio
I recently attended a Studio Lighting Workshop at Studio 311 hosted by James Ogilvie, a Toronto photographer who teaches at the Henry's Learning Lab. The six-hour workshop covered the different types of photographic lighting (continuous, strobe, natural light, etc.), specific lighting set-ups to achieve particular looks, and tips for shooting models, including retouching techniques. This was my first time using studio lighting and shooting professional models, and it was the most fun I've ever had with my camera.
