Rose and I studied Landscape Architecture together at the University of Guelph, where we spent our days dreaming of adventures abroad and memorizing the Latin names of leaves. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since we graduated, but not very surprising that neither of us chose a career in the industry. This past summer, we spent an afternoon in Corktown Common taking portraits amongst the plants, a landscape reminiscent of our previous life as students.
Portrait Series: Broc
Our apartment has such beautiful light in the afternoon - perfect for an impromptu portrait session with my fiancé, Broc. I experimented with a white plastic bag to add an ethereal quality to the photos, and I’m happy with how they turned out! Please don’t mind the cat hair - we’ve come to accept it will never leave our clothes.
