Summer in 35mm

Summer already feels like a world away. After a Spring of isolation, the city rejoiced in the warm weather, with everyone eager to spend time outdoors with the family and friends in their extended bubbles. Although the pandemic was still very real, the low case numbers in Ontario made us feel invincible; confident that we would be able to continue our masked, socially distanced gatherings without having to worry about the imminent second wave. Unfortunately, Fall has proven us wrong - as of October 3rd, Toronto is officially back to Phase 2, with all indoor dining, cinemas, and gyms closed until further notice. Looking back on my photos from the past few months, I can’t help but reminisce about the patios, picnics, and parks I got to enjoy with the people I missed the most.

These images were shot on Kodak Portra 160, Kodak Portra 400, and Kodak Gold 200 with my Canon EOS 7.
