Winter in Toronto

Although this past winter was long and stubborn, I managed to find some cool stuff to do in Toronto:

The Jean-Michel Basquiat: Now's the Time exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario was phenomenal. I highly recommend checking it out, followed by a walk through Frank Gehry's Galleria Italia.

Her Majesty's Pleasure, a new salon and cafe concept in Toronto's King West neighbourhood. I loved the copper barstools by Blu Dot.

Interior details at the new Dark Horse Espresso Bar in Riverside. A great space in the east end for getting stuff done.

Moments no. 2

My life via the iPhone over the past few months: a weekend in Montréal with Lauren; dinner at Dandylion, a new Scandinavian-style restaurant on Queen West; relaxing in St. Lucia over Christmas; afternoon espresso martinis at Her Majesty's Pleasure, a new concept salon on King West; video editing at Toronto's Reference Library (designed by Raymond Moriyama); finding inspiration at the Interior Design Show and the Politics of Fashion exhibit; dinner and drinks at Eastside Social with the talented Adam; goodbye cappuccinos at Early Bird Espresso & Brew Bar; my new favourite book; the stunning new Nordic cafe ØDIN on King East; admiring the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit at the AGO (which everyone needs to see!); and lastly, a mini Bertoia and three baby Eames chairs at Dark Horse Espresso Bar in Riverdale.
