Attending the Interior Design Show has become an annual tradition for me. It's one of my favourite design events of the year and has proven to be a valuable source of inspiration for both my career in the industry and my general interest in design, as well as a great platform for networking.
At this year's event, there was a definitive focus on minimalist design. From the brass, geometric light fixtures by Matthew McCormick Studio to the modest nu-Scandinavian handmade furniture by Kroft, many of the exhibitors featured their work in simple displays where the product, if not minimalistic in design, was minimal in presentation - a major contrast from years past. As always, I loved the Prototype and Studio North booths which featured custom works and products by emerging Canadian designers, such as Contour & Co. and Amulette. I hope you enjoy the photos!
